A young woman at the edge of a Lily pond with water grass's, bamboo and a shelter of rocks. She has entered the water to try and escape the grass fire that you can see just beyond her. She is looking over her shoulder to see if there might be a safer place for her to take refuge from the flames.

Dying Arbutus Tree is an original acrylic painting on canvas, the canvas is 20" high X 16" wide.

I have always been fascinated by the beauty of the Arbutus tree and have found it disheartening to see most of them dying in our area. As you can see in this painting that this tree has started to perish from the top. Since I painted this tree it is no longer alive, just the trunk and some of the larger branches are still intact. So far they have not found out what is making them perish.

The Lovers - She's A River is an original acrylic painting done on canvas, the canvas size is 63" high X 39" wide.

This is another one of my fantasy paintings with the brilliant hot sun, red sky and blue-green of the waterfall and river. I depict the Rhinoceros coming out of the jungle to drink at the waters edge as they watch the lovers crossing the river. I have also given the viewer the ability to see under the water at all the life in the river from freshwater tropical fish to the variety of plant life.
