Fish In Motion is made from welded steel, the fish is 4 feet from head to end of tail and over 2 feet deep and 16 inches wide, the driftwood base makes this piece even larger. This would be an excellent show piece for the front yard of your house or in a private garden.

I took tubular steel and angle steel and cut into pieces on a cutter, cleaned up the pieces and welded together into my fish pattern. I then ground it all down to a smooth finish on all the welds. It was then sandblasted off ready for painting. The paint on the fish is car lacquer to make it durable for outside mounting, I then finished off the metal with 5 layers of clear lacquer to seal everything. I then mounted it on a piece of driftwood I found on the beach and finished it off with a piece of maple for the base.
